NRES holds ESG-themed exhibition at KL Sentral

PUTRAJAYA, April 7 — An art exhibition, with ESG (environment, social and governance) as its theme, will be held at the arrival hall of the KLIA Express, KL Sentral, from April 18 to May 5.

The Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Ministry (NRES), in a statement today, said it is organising the exhibition in a strategic collaboration with Art Market Malaysia and Express Link Rail Sdn Bhd.

It said the exhibition is held to promote public awareness of ESG through artwork and creative innovation by highlighting various forms of art that highlight ESG values ​​through the artwork of 100 artists, including artists with disabilities.

“Among the artworks are visual art that highlights issues of sustainability, climate change and social awareness; handicrafts based on sustainable and environmentally friendly materials as well as sculpture that reflects the importance of environmental conservation and social responsibility,” it said.

The exhibition is open to all visitors and admission is free.

According to the NRES, various services and campaigns will be offered by 14 departments and agencies under its purview. These include initiatives such as the Greening Malaysia Programme, Malayan Tiger conservation, wildlife protection, and the promotion of sustainable lifestyles.

The exhibition will also see participation from the corporate sector and social entrepreneurs, who are viewed as key players in advancing environmental, social, and economic sustainability, as well as elevating ESG campaigns to greater heights.
