SUBANG JAYA, April 2 — The Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah paid a visit to the victims of the gas pipeline fire at the temporary evacuation centre (PPS) in Masjid Putra Heights today.
His Highness arrived at 3.10pm and was welcomed by Perbadanan Wakaf Selangor's chief executive officer Anuar Hamzah Tohar.
Tengku Amir also visited each tent to meet with the 323 victims from 84 families, the latest number of victims as of 12.30pm today.
Earlier, the Raja Muda visited the Incident Command Post in Subang Jaya, accompanied by Kota Anggerik state assemblyman Mohd Najwan Halimi and Sungai Air Tawar state assemblyman Dato' Rizam Ismail.
Previously, Subang Jaya Mayor Dato' Amirul Azizan Abd Rahim said the Subang Jaya City Council and KDEB Waste Management would carry out cleaning operations at the fire site.
The process is expected to take two days to ensure the area is safe before allowing the victims to return to their homes.
