SHAH ALAM, April 1 — PLUS Malaysia Bhd today announced the temporary closure of the Seafield-Bandar Saujana Putra route due to a fire that broke out near the North-South Expressway Central Link (ELITE).

PLUS said southbound road users will be redirected to the Seafield toll plaza and redirected back to the ELITE through the Bandar Saujana Putra toll plaza, while northbound users are advised to exit at the Bandar Saujana Putra toll plaza and reenter the ELITE through the Seafield toll plaza.

In a post on X, PLUS said ELITE entry routes via the USJ and Putra Heights toll plazas are closed to all vehicles.

It advised users to plan their routes and use apps such as Waze and Google Maps to navigate the area.

Earlier today, a massive fire broke out along the main Petronas gas pipeline near Jalan Putra Harmoni, Putra Heights, Subang Jaya, due to a leak. The heat from the blaze forced residents of a nearby residential area from their homes, with several injured.

Petronas confirmed the incident.

Media Selangor personnel at Persiaran Harmoni found that police had sealed off access to the incident site.

Meanwhile, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said a temporary relief centre has been opened at the Putra Heights Mosque to house evacuees, while Kota Kemuning assemblyman S. Preakas announced on Facebook that Al-Falah Mosque in USJ 9 and Sri Maha Kaliamman Temple in Subang Jaya are open to those seeking shelter from the fire.
