SHAH ALAM, March 29 — The Hari Raya Aidiladha ibadah korban programme will continue this year with a RM6 million allocation, said state executive councillor for infrastructure and agriculture Dato' Izham Hashim.
The state government will distribute 700 cows and 1,000 goats to Islamic religious institutions for the programme.
“A total of 300 cows will be handed over to the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais) for distribution to mosques, while the remaining cows and goats will be allocated to suraus and the local community.

Izham added that 25 companies have been selected to supply cows, while another 25 companies will provide goats for the programme.
“The supplier selection process was conducted through a work ballot on March 20,” he said.
Last year, the state government allocated the same amount for the ibadah korban contribution in conjunction with Aidiladha.
