SHAH ALAM, March 28 — The Hari Raya Aidilfitri Special Financial Assistance (BKK) amounting to one month’s salary has been fully disbursed to state civil servants so far, said Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari.

The additional half-month salary via the State Revenue Record Incentive, which was previously announced, is expected to be distributed on April 14 or April 15.

“The one-month salary bonus has been received as I announced in the previous budget. The additional half-month salary will be received on April 14 or April 15. I hope this will be of great help,” he said.

Speaking after the Special Aidilfitri Incentive presentation ceremony for mosque personnel today, Amirudin clarified that the assistance for Federal civil servants would be distributed between April 15 and April 16.

During the tabling of the 2025 Selangor Budget on November 15 last year, he announced the provision of the 2024 BKK, amounting to two months’ salary for all civil servants, which would be paid in stages.

The first BKK was paid on December 30, followed by March 25 in conjunction with Aidilfitri.

The Menteri Besar also revealed that Selangor's revenue collection of RM2.8 billion last year marked the fourth consecutive year of the state government surpassing the initial target.

The state's reserves had increased to RM4.5 billion as of February, compared to RM3.8 billion recorded during the same period last year.

Meanwhile, during the event, 3,129 mosque personnel across Selangor received the 2025 Special Aidilfitri Incentive amounting to RM1.564 million, presented by Amirudin.

He said the recipients include nazir, imams, bilals, and siaks from 447 mosques in Selangor, with each person receiving RM500.

"Today, we have physically completed the distribution of the Aidilfitri incentive for mosque personnel, amounting to more than RM1.5 million, as we have done in previous years," Amirudin said.

He added that the state government is considering increasing the categories to nine next year, compared to the current seven.

“It has been considered for next year — we will add another RM500,000 to make it a total of RM2 million. This addition will allow us to include mosque secretaries and treasurers,” Amirudin said.

Meanwhile, Masjid Al Ma'arufiah Parit Baru's nazir Mohd Sofiyuddin Ahmad said the incentive serves as motivation for mosque personnel to provide excellent service.

“This programme should be continued and its target value increased. The state government’s efforts in developing Islamic teachings are evident through knowledge-based programmes and training courses,” said the Sabak Bernam native.

Similarly, Masjid Taman Putra Perdana's nazir Adnan Ali Nazir also expressed appreciation for the contribution, saying that it would boost the motivation of mosque personnel to serve even better.

“Hopefully, this incentive will encourage us to work harder and with sincerity for the benefit of the congregation, especially Muslims in Selangor,” he said.

Previously, Amirudin announced that mosque personnel, including nazir, imams, siaks, and bilals, would receive an RM500 contribution from the Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI in conjunction with Aidilfitri.
