Selcat seeks public input on infrastructure issues impacting investments in Selangor

SHAH ALAM, March 28 — Selangor has initiated a survey to gather feedback from investors, manufacturers, and stakeholders regarding infrastructure issues related to investments in the state.

State Speaker Lau Weng San said the Selangor special select committee on competence, accountability and transparency (Selcat) is investigating the matter to analyse the issues raised after receiving several complaints.

He said a survey form had been put up on the Selangor State Assembly Portal to collect the necessary information and input from the public.

“This initiative aims to identify and analyse the challenges and issues faced in the infrastructure sector related to investments in the state.

“The information gathered will serve as the foundation for the investigation and for taking more effective measures to address these challenges and strengthen infrastructure development in Selangor,” he said in a recent statement.

Lau stated that the survey form is strictly dedicated to gathering additional information and not for lodging complaints.

“Each response received will be reviewed by the committee, and the Selangor State Assembly Secretariat will contact respondents to seek clarification or further information if necessary.

“We urge all affected and relevant investors, manufacturers, and stakeholders to participate by completing this survey form so that infrastructure development, particularly that which involves new investments in Selangor, can continue to be strengthened,” he added.
