SHAH ALAM, March 27 — The Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation (PKPS) distributed 1,000 sticks of lemang in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri to the state administration’s top management and staff.
PKPS group chief executive officer Datuk Mohamad Khairil Mohd Razi said the lemang was prepared in a gotong-royong session starting at 3am today in Wisma PKPS' compound.
“All staff were involved in the process of preparing and roasting the lemang. This is the first time we are organising this programme, and we may continue it in the future.
“For this occasion, we used over 250 kilogrammes of glutinous rice and 280 kilogrammes of santan. The distribution was made to staff as well as the top management of the administration,” he told SelangorKini.
Earlier, Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari and state executive councillor for infrastructure and agriculture Dato' Izham Hashim also visited the lemang-making process.
