SHAH ALAM, March 26 — The state government intends to build an aerospace library as part of its efforts to cultivate interest and nurture school students' talents in the field.

State executive councillor for investment, trade, and mobility Ng Sze Han said they are collaborating with the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) and the National Aerospace Industry Coordinating Office (Naico) to develop the library in Bandar Puteri, Puchong.

“Aerospace requires a vast pool of talent, and we need to foster students’ interest from an early stage in their education. By the time they enter university, they will have a variety of course options. This is our target.

“Bandar Puteri was chosen as the location because of its proximity to the Integrated Circuit Design Park and the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, which will further stimulate the state’s semiconductor industry,” he told Media Selangor.

Ng added that MBSJ has agreed to fund the library's construction, which is expected to commence in the middle of this year.

“A site visit and the first meeting involving myself, MBSJ, and Naico will be held two weeks after Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

“Another plan is to establish a pilot space as a key attraction, which will also encourage pilots to contribute books related to aviation knowledge for young readers,” he said.
