SHAH ALAM, March 19 — KDEB Waste Management Sdn Bhd (KDEBWM) has prepared 524 roll-on roll-off (roro) bins for bulk waste collection in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri this year.
However, its managing director Dato’ Ramli Mohd Tahir stated that the number may increase depending on demand.
“Those who require the service can apply via the i-Clean app or through their respective local authorities.
“Last year, we received many requests, especially in Shah Alam and Subang Jaya. I advise residents not to register at the last minute, as demand increases significantly yearly,” he told Media Selangor.
Meanwhile, Ramli said domestic waste collection during the festive season will be carried out earlier, starting at 10pm on the night before Aidilfitri.
He said that the collection schedule applies only to the first and second nights of Hari Raya and is subject to the population density of each area.
“Domestic waste is expected to triple during the festive season compared to regular days. Therefore, people are advised to separate dry and organic waste.
“Proper waste separation will make it easier for our workers, ensuring a more efficient collection process,” he added.
The i-Clean Selangor app, available on Google Play and the App Store, allows residents to report solid waste collection issues and request bulk disposal services.
