KUALA LUMPUR, March 14 — Six factories and a warehouse at the Puchong Industrial Park were damaged in a fire this morning.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department Assistant Director (Operations) Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar said a team from the Puchong Fire and Rescue Station was the first to arrive at the scene after receiving a distress call at 11.40am.
In a statement, he said the fire damaged two steel factories, while the others included a food processing factory, a compressor factory, and a welding factory.
No casualties were reported and the cause of the fire is still under investigation
Mukhlis said 42 officers and firefighters from the Puchong, Subang Jaya, Cyberjaya, Jalan Penchala, Petaling Jaya, Damansara and Sri Kembangan Fire and Rescue stations were involved in the operation.
