HULU SELANGOR, March 13 — The state’s Jelajah Kita Selangor initiative will begin in June with a series of interesting activities under way.
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said his team is in the process of finding the best location to hold its opening ceremony.
“We will try our best to visit as many places as possible this year and will focus on some new programmes that are currently being fine-tuned,” he said.
Amirudin was speaking to the media after visiting a few underprivileged families under the ‘Ziarah Kasih Ihya’ Ramadan’ programme around the district yesterday.
The Jelajah Kita Selangor initiative, previously branded as Jelajah Selangor Penyayang, kickstarted in 2022 and has been providing the people with, among others, free health screenings, staple food items at lower prices, and community-building activities like exhibitions and sporting events.
It exists under the umbrella of Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat (IPR), which has received a RM350 million allocation from the state government.
