HULU SELANGOR, March 12 — Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari distributed 1,000 packs of bubur lambuk to visitors and traders at the Taman Bunga Raya Bukit Beruntung Ramadan bazaar today.
Accompanied by Hulu Selangor Municipal Council President Julaihah Jamaludin, he also distributed 500 digital vouchers worth RM10 each via the Selangor Platform (PLATS).
Earlier, Amirudin officiated the Sustainable Ramadan Bazaar 2025 launch ceremony and the #TakNakBazir Plastic-Free Campaign at the venue.
During his half-hour tour, the Menteri Besar also interacted with traders and visitors, accepting their invitations for selfies.
Previously, state executive councillor for youth, sports, and entrepreneurship Mohd Najwan Halimi said 4,000 digital vouchers worth RM10 each were distributed across 10 Ramadan bazaars through the PLATS Masuk Bazar programme.
The RM10 vouchers were part of a RM40,000 allocation from Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI.
First introduced during Ramadan in 2020, PLATS aims to complement the Selangor Digitalisation Agenda ecosystem. A year later, PLATS 2.0 was launched to help traders generate income continuously.
In 2023, MBI also introduced the PLATS Masuk Pasar campaign, which ran for two months across 12 selected locations throughout the state, distributing 20,000 Rahmah Digital Vouchers worth RM5 each.
As of October last year, 40,000 traders from various business sectors had joined the platform. The state government is targeting 50,000 traders by 2026.
