SHAH ALAM, March 10 — Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated), or MBI, Foundation has earmarked RM70,000 to repair schools and homes for victims of a storm in Parit 4, Sungai Burong, Tanjong Karang.
MBI Foundation chief executive officer Ahmad Azri Zainal Nor said RM50,000 will be used to repair the roof of SK Parit 4, which was damaged in last week’s storm.
“The school made an application to the ministry but the process takes time, so we are prioritising more crucial cases and are presenting immediate aid so things don’t get worse if it rains.
“For the houses, MBI Foundation-appointed contractors have cleared debris and put up temporary canvas on roofs before further coordination for repairs are managed by the State Disaster Management Unit,” he told Selangorkini.
