SHAH ALAM, March 9 — Some 13,000 orphans across Selangor will receive Hari Raya Aidilfitri contributions this year, based on a RM1.95 million allocation.
The Darul Ehsan Islamic Foundation's (Yide) chairman Tan Sri Mazlan Mansor said this initiative reflects the agency’s commitment to safeguarding the welfare and well-being of orphans in the state.
“Yide sincerely upholds the decree of His Royal Highness the Sultan of Selangor (Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj) on the importance of caring for orphans in Selangor.
“In addition, we strive to ensure that orphans receive proper education, essential needs, and a safe and comfortable place to live,” he said.
Mazlan was speaking at Yide's presentation ceremony for Hari Raya Aidilfitri contributions to orphans at Masjid Al-Ubudiyah in Section 19 yesterday, which was graced by the Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah.
During the event, His Highness presented RM87,000 of Yide's contributions to 580 orphans from the Petaling district.
This is part of the total allocation of RM361,950 designated for 2,413 orphans in Petaling for this year’s Aidilfitri contributions.
