SHAH ALAM, March 4 — The Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) will distribute 4,500 free servings of bubur lambuk throughout this year’s Ramadan as a gesture of appreciation to the community.

Its Corporate Services senior general manager Sapna Turmidi said the nearly 20-year-old tradition is being carried out under the PKNS Ramadan Kasih corporate social responsibility programme, with a RM37,000 allocation.

“The distribution will take place at three locations, in addition to the PKNS Complex Shah Alam today: Evo Mall in Bandar Baru Bangi on March 12, and the Datum Jelatek Shopping Centre (in Taman Keramat, Kuala Lumpur) on March 20, with 1,500 packets of bubur lambuk at each location,” she said during the launch of the Bubur Lambuk Kasih PKNS programme today.

Also present at the event were PKNS group deputy chief executive officer (corporate) Suhaimi Kasdon and PKNS group deputy chief executive officer (strategic partnerships) Md Kamarzan Md. Rais.

Sapna added that the corporation has organised several other programmes throughout Ramadan, including the Iftar Ramadan Kasih PKNS on March 14 at the Shah Alam Convention Centre to celebrate homeless children from Rumah Ilmu, Chow Kit.

"This programme is not just about reaching out to those in need, but also reflects PKNS’ commitment to spreading the blessings of Ramadan to the wider community," she said.

At today’s event, PKNS also contributed RM10,000 worth of Ramadan Kasih baskets to newly converted Muslims under the Muslim Welfare Organisation Malaysia Putra, containing essential items valued at RM200 each for 50 families.
