KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 24 — The Financial Statements of 22 agencies under the Higher Education Ministry are among 133 financial statements of Federal agencies under various ministries that have been given the Auditor-General's Certificate with reprimand.
According to the Auditor-General's Report 1/2025 tabled in the Dewan Rakyat today, the agencies include the Malaysian Qualifications Agency, the National Higher Education Fund Corporation, the University Malaya Medical Centre, and 19 public universities including University Malaya.
Also receiving the certificate without reprimand are 12 agencies under the Transport Ministry and 11 agencies under the Finance Ministry, including Bank Negara Malaysia, the Employees Provident Fund, and the Inland Revenue Board.
“The Prime Minister’s Department, through nine agencies including the Human Rights Commission, the Federal Land Development Authority, and Tabung Haji, also received the Auditor-General’s Certificate without reprimand.
“Under the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development, seven agencies also received this certificate, including the Kedah Regional Development Authority and Mara,” it said.
Also receiving the certificate without reprimand were eight agencies under the Agriculture and Food Security Ministry, the Plantations and Commodities Ministry (seven), the Youth and Sports Ministry and the Works Ministry (five each); the Tourism, Arts, and Culture Ministry and the Defence Ministry (four each).
Three agencies under the Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Ministry, the Human Resources Ministry, the Energy Transition and Water Transformation Ministry; the Investment, Trade, and Industry Ministry, and the Economy Ministry also received certificates without reprimand.
Two agencies each under the Housing and Local Government Ministry and the Health Ministry; the Science, Technology, and Innovation Ministry, and the National Unity Ministry also received the certificates without reprimand.
Under the Communications Ministry, two agencies including the Malaysian National News Agency and an agency under the Women, Family, and Community Development Ministry were also given the certificate without reprimand.
