KUALA LANGAT, Feb 23 — The state government continues its tradition of producing a special Aidilfitri telefilm titled Hanya Kita, which highlights the theme of family values.
Set to air in the third week of Syawal on Radio Televisyen Malaysia, the film, directed by Che Mie, portrays the lives of two children who become orphans after losing their parents in a tragic accident.
Featuring Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari and several state executive councillors, the 90-minute telefilm also stars Ungku Ismail, Christina Suzanne, Ropie, Mikael Noah, and Haifa Halina.

State executive councillor for housing and culture Datuk Borhan Aman Shah said the telefilm also promotes state initiatives that benefit Selangor residents from infancy to old age.
“We chose the title Hanya Kita, meaning that Selangor offers a comprehensive range of programmes and assistance under Iltizam Selangor Penyayang, covering everyone from newborns to senior citizens.
“Not only that, but the special drama, aired on TV1 and TV2, continues due to the overwhelming response from the public.
“The Menteri Besar will make a special appearance as a headmaster who helps orphans through various state government initiatives, from education to food aid,” he said after recording the Hari Raya Aidilfitri takbir at Pantai Batu Laut in Tanjong Sepat today.
This year, the beachside setting was chosen as the filming location for the Aidilfitri takbir, which featured Amirudin and other state government leaders, including department heads.
Since 2021, the state government has leveraged celebrity influence to introduce its public initiatives. That year, Senandung Aidilfitri was first broadcast during the Covid-19 pandemic's Movement Control Order.
The following year, the tradition continued, featuring well-known artists including Ziana Zain, Sissy Imann, Elyana Emrizal, Raja Azura, Bell Ngasri, and Azlee Senario.
In the subsequent Syawal, Selangor made its debut on prime-time television with the drama Selalu Ada, starring the renowned actress Erra Fazira.
The next telefilm, Ayah Panggil Balik, was produced with a star-studded cast, including Zaidi Omar, Fazlina Ahmad Daud, Syafie Naswip, Ropie, and Datuk Ahmad Tarmimi Siregar.
