SHAH ALAM, Feb 20 — The state government is in the final stages of streamlining the dialysis treatment benefits, which will be placed under the Iltizam Selangor Sihat (ISS) programme.
State executive councillor for public health and the environment Jamaliah Jamaluddin said the treatment, which was previously under the Bantuan Sihat Selangor programme, will now provide treatment aid of up to RM10,000.
“The alignment of dialysis treatment benefits will assist eligible recipients by providing treatment aid of up to RM10,000, compared to RM5,000 previously.

“At present, the basic treatment aid limit under ISS is RM70 per treatment session,” she said during the Selangor State Legislative Assembly session yesterday.
Jamaliah was responding to Selat Klang state assemblyman Datuk Abdul Rashid Asari's query on the proposed improvements to the ISS programme this year.
Meanwhile, she said that Selcare Management Sdn Bhd has implemented price control adjustments for basic treatments at panel clinics.
This initiative, implemented through a contractual agreement, aims to ensure that treatment charges do not financially burden benefit recipients.
“To regulate basic treatment prices, Selcare has coordinated this matter with panel clinics via an agreement between Selcare and the respective clinics,” Jamaliah said.
During the 2025 Selangor Budget tabling on November 15 last year, Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari announced a RM20 million allocation to continue ISS.
The programme helps Selangor residents receive free basic medical treatment, including death and critical illness protection benefits.
