KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 18 — The Malaysian Football League (MFL) has approved the application of defending champions PDRM FC to play the second final of the 2024/2025 Challenge Cup at the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) Stadium this Saturday (February 22).
Initially, the Cops, who lost in the first final on Saturday (February 15), were scheduled to play the second final at their home ground, the Selayang Municipal Council Stadium.
"PDRM FC as the home team for the second final had submitted an application for the change of venue because the MBPJ Stadium has met the criteria and standards of the venue for the final," it said in a statement today.
In the first final at the MBPJ Stadium on Saturday, Selangor FC, which played with 10 players, managed to record a 3-2 victory over PDRM.
Katsuhito Kinoshi's Red Giants have a chance to end a long drought of lifting the championship trophy after the last time they did so when they emerged champions of the Malaysia Cup for the 33rd time in 2015.
