SUBANG JAYA, Feb 12 — The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Matta) Fair 2025 from April 18 to 20 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec) in Kuala Lumpur is expected to draw over 210,000 visitors.
Its president Nigel Wong said the 56th edition of the international fair is also expected to generate more than RM270 million in sales.
"We are looking at about 500 booths, so it is very big.
"So we will be focusing a lot more on new domestic products. We have eight state tourism organisations (that would be) participating (in the event)," he said during a press conference today.
Aside from domestic products, Wong said the Matta Fair will also provide products and services to outbound destinations.
Japan, Taiwan, India, China, and some South African countries will be participating in the event as well.
Matta will also be organising the inaugural Business to Business event Matta Connect to provide an opportunity for sellers from various countries to connect with local buyers to explore new international destinations and establish new business partnerships.
Matta Connect will be held on April 17 at Mitec, a day before the Matta Fair.
