SHAH ALAM, Jan 30 — The final leg of the Gagasan Rumpun Selangor 2024 session will be held in Gombak this April, according to state executive councillor for unity Datuk Rizam Ismail.
He the said the event will be graced by the presence of Raja Muda Selangor Tengku Amir Shah and Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, who is also the Gombak MP.
“This (Gagasan Rumpun Selangor) programme is scheduled to resume in April in Gombak, marking the final district for the 2024 session, before we hold the 2025 session in all nine districts,” he told Media Selangor.
Rizam said the full lineup for the Gombak programme is being planned, with activities and promotions aligned with Visit Selangor Year (VSY) 2025.
“We are ramping up promotions for this year’s edition, especially with the participation of Raja Muda Selangor and the Menteri Besar.
“In addition, Gagasan Rumpun Selangor will incorporate elements of VSY 2025, providing a platform to highlight Selangor’s key tourism attractions throughout the roadshow,” he said.
Previously, Rizam had said that this year’s Gagasan Rumpun Selangor will feature a fresh concept, with activities carefully curated to complement VSY 2025.
Amirudin had earlier introduced the initiative as a celebration of diversity and a commitment to fostering unity across Selangor.
The programme is built on six key pillars, including carnivals and explorations, policies, a unity anthem, as well as restructuring and strengthening village leadership institutions.
