SHAH ALAM, Jan 29 — Selangor offers a strong ecosystem to support aerospace industry growth, through research, development, manufacturing and maintenance.
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said it puts Selangor on the right track to lead the development of the dynamic industry, not just regionally, but globally, too.
“The aerospace industry in Selangor continues to rapidly grow, making the state a main aerospace sector hub in Malaysia.
“Through initiatives of the Selangor Aerospace Council, the state government plays an important role in driving the sector’s growth by strengthening policies, drawing investment, and encouraging cooperation between industry and education institutions,” he said on Facebook.

Amirudin added that focus is given to talent development through specialised training programmes and strategic partnerships with main industry players.
“With this continued effort, I am confident that Selangor, God willing, is on track to becoming a leader in aerospace development, not just regionally, but also globally,” he said.
Aerospace is among the sectors under focus in the Speed Selangor Policy, announced by Amirudin in the 2025 Selangor State Budget.
The state also formulated the Selangor Aerospace Action Plan 2020-2030, a strategy to realise the development of the aerospace industry and drive an aerospace industrialisation hub.
The Selangor Aerospace Park, contained in the First Selangor Plan, will also be implemented to make the state a global aerospace hub.
