SHAH ALAM, Jan 19 — The Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) has launched the Gemilang MBSJ (Hello Subang Jaya) app to drive smart tourism in conjunction with Visit Selangor Year (VSY) 2025.

The MBSJ corporate communications division said the app gives users information on tourism destinations, main events, and promotions in Subang Jaya.

“It lets users plan their trips efficiently, with online bookings for travel, accommodation, food and transport.

“This platform lets users pay online and strengthen the element of digital community,” it said in a statement.

The local authority hopes the Hello Subang Jaya app receives great reception from the local community to strengthen the city as a smart tourism destination that backs innovation and sustainability.

The app can be accessed under the Gemilang MBSJ parent on Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

The state government targets eight million tourist arrivals in Selangor this year, with a transaction value of RM11.7 billion, in conjunction with VSY2025.

VSY2025 aims to offer over 60 events, with special emphasis on segments including ecotourism, agrotourism, arts, and culture.
