KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 14 — The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a continuous rain warning for three states starting this Thursday (January 16).
It forecasted that heavy rainfall will affect several areas in Sarawak including Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Kapit (Song and Kapit) and Bintulu from Thursday to Saturday (January 18).
In a statement today, MetMalaysia said that similar weather conditions are expected in Sabah, specifically in the West Coast (Ranau and Kota Belud), Sandakan (Telupid, Kinabatangan, Beluran, and Sandakan) and Kudat from Thursday to Friday (January 17).
Continuous rain is also anticipated in several areas in Johor including Kluang, Mersing, Pontian, Kulai, Kota Tinggi, and Johor Bahru, from Friday to Sunday (January 19).
