SHAH ALAM, Jan 12 — Police have arrested a babysitter at a childcare centre believed to be involved in the death of a four-month-old baby boy on January 3.
Kuala Langat police chief Akmalrizal Radzi said the babysitter, a citizen in her 30s, was released on police bail after police recorded her statement.
“We are waiting for instructions from the Deputy Public Prosecutor for further action,” he said when contacted by Bernama today.
Yesterday, he reportedly said an initial police investigation found the babysitter had left the victim without proper monitoring for an extended period.
The centre was ordered shut by the Selangor Social Welfare Department on January 7.
