SHAH ALAM, Jan 4 — The Selangor JobCare Carnival tour, offering thousands of employment opportunities, will continue this year across nine districts, said state executive councillor for human resources and poverty eradication V. Papparaidu.
The carnival will feature employers offering job opportunities in various sectors, including services and manufacturing.
Other fields include marketing, healthcare, tourism, hospitality, transportation, as well as foods and beverages.

“This year, the Selangor JobCare tour will continue across nine districts, and further details will be announced later,” he told Media Selangor today.
Papparaidu added that plans are being made to organise awareness programmes in secondary schools, focusing on career development after students complete their schooling.
“For instance, encouraging students to take Technical and Vocational Education and Training or skills-based courses to provide alternatives that can support their future livelihoods.
“We aim to focus on exposing students to job opportunities in specific fields, particularly for those who are less academically inclined, to offer them career development paths that suit their potential,” he said.
The JobCare Carnival is a state government initiative aimed at helping individuals with low, medium, and high skill levels secure employment in various sectors.
Last year, approximately 35,000 job opportunities were offered through the tour, which took place across nine districts starting in July.
In addition, Selangor also organised the Special Selangor JobCare Carnival last year, specifically for vulnerable groups including disabled persons, the Orang Asli community, the poor, former inmates, senior citizens, housewives, and the homeless to secure employment.
