SHAH ALAM, Dec 28 — RM618,000 has been spent on road resurfacing works spanning 12 kilometres (km) in the Teratai state constituency.
Its state assemblyman Yew Jia Haur said the project, carried out under the Malaysian Road Records Information System (Marris), began on November 11 and is expected to be completed by January 20, 2025.
“The resurfacing works along Jalan Pandan Perdana, which had suffered significant damage, were undertaken by the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council as part of an initiative to repair the road.

“We anticipate the works will be completed within the stipulated timeframe, and possibly ahead of the target date,” he told Media Selangor.
Previously, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the large-scale project aims to ensure that roads in Selangor are in good condition for road users' safety.
He said the selection of roads for repairs was based on the highest number of complaints from the public, reported through X (formerly Twitter) or the Infrasel app.
The 2025 Selangor Budget allocates RM50 million to continue the Mega Road Resurfacing Project, encompassing road maintenance and widening to enhance public facilities, which will be carried out comprehensively.
