KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 12 — The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) will commence proceedings on five new issues at the Dewan Rakyat's upcoming session.
Its chairman Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin said they involve proceedings on Airport Management, Khazanah Nasional Berhad Domestic Investment, and Kuala Lumpur Land Development.
It also includes proceedings on the Private Health Services Ecosystem, Regulatory Mechanism, Legislative Framework and Financing Method through Medical Insurance: Implications of Private Service Price Increases for Government Hospitals, as well as the Procurement of Electric Trains on Lease for 30 Years Worth RM10.7 billion.
"For the 2025 plan, there are three issues this year that will be carried over to next year which are still under investigation by the PAC, namely the Management of the Padi Planting Programme, the National Water Management issue and the Management of Inland Revenue Board Accounts Receivable," she said during a press conference at the Parliament building today.
Ermieyati added that the PAC will also table six reports and three follow-up action report proceedings at the First Meeting, Fourth Session, 15th Parliament which will be held from February 3 to March 6 next year.
She said among them were the report on the Sarawak and Sabah Rural Water Supply Project Management, the 1Malaysia Development Berhad Guarantee Commitment, the Management of the Implementation of the Multi-Lane Fast-Flying System Project and the Procurement of the Foreign Workers Centralized Management System.
For this year, he said the PAC had tabled 22 reports in the Dewan Rakyat comprising 11 PAC reports and 11 ministry follow-up action reports on PAC recommendations.
