SHAH ALAM, Dec 7 — The Klang Royal City Council (MBDK) is organising efforts related to cleaning operations across its administrative areas.
Klang Mayor Datuk Abd Hamid Hussain said the planning of operations, which will commence soon, will also involve KDEB Waste Management (KDEBWM).
"We have held a coordination meeting to discuss how to clean Klang. Therefore, we will arrange operations in the near future to ensure the entire Klang area is cleaned.

"The cleaning operations will be conducted in collaboration with KDEBWM, and the concession company providing these services, including rubbish collection. Additionally, we will also focus on infrastructure repairs," he said when contacted by SelangorKini yesterday.
Hamid added that MBDK will seek additional allocations from the state government if the funds provided are insufficient.
"The budget for next year has been tabled, and we will utilise all available resources. However, if it is not enough and additional funds are required, we will apply to the state government," he said.
Yesterday, the Sultan of Selangor expressed dismay over Klang city’s cleanliness levels, which remains dirty and disorderly.
Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj remarked that despite rapid development, there are still areas that are filthy, including rivers severely polluted with rubbish.
His Royal Highness said that he received numerous complaints from the public, especially cruise ship tourists arriving at Port Klang, who described the view of Klang as highly polluted and unpleasant.
For the record, Hamid was sworn in as the new Mayor of Klang on Monday (December 2), replacing Datin Paduka Noraini Roslan, who retired last month.
