KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 28 — The risk of trade sanctions from the United States due to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s defence of Palestinian rights will be among the highlights of today’s Dewan Rakyat sitting.
According to the Order Paper on the Parliament website, RSN Rayer (PH-Jelutong) will raise the matter during Ministers’ Question Time when the Dewan Rakyat sitting commences at 10am.
Then, Anwar is expected to answer a question from Datuk Seri Ikmal Hisham Abdul Aziz (PN-Tanah Merah) on why the Malaysian Armed Forces helicopter leasing contracts are not offered via international open tender or on a government-to-government basis.
Also of interest will be a query during the oral question-and-answer session from Wan Razali Wan Nor (PN-Kuantan), who will ask the Housing and Local Government Ministry about its collaboration with local authorities to address urban flash floods.
After the session, the sitting will proceed with committee-level debates and wind-ups on the Supply Bill 2025 by several ministries.
The current Dewan Rakyat sitting ends December 12.
