SHAH ALAM, Nov 25 — Development of the Selangor International Aero Park (SAP) and the Pulau Indah Power Plant (PIPP) project, included in the First Selangor Plan (RS-1), offers high-quality career opportunities while driving economic transformation.
State executive councillor for human resources and poverty eradication V. Papparaidu said the Carey Selangor project and the Sabak Bernam Development Area (Sabda) have also been identified as key drivers for enhancing the state's economic position in the region.
“RS-1 is designed to meet short-term needs while building future resilience. One of its strategic themes is to strengthen the economy and align development to attract interest from international-level companies, including unicorn companies.

“It also aims to drive catalyst projects in key focus sectors and selected geographical areas, which will benefit and enhance the state’s competitive edge while continuing to help create additional job opportunities in the future,” he said during the State Legislative Assembly session today.
Last week, Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari said that RS-1, serving as Selangor's development framework for five years until 2025, had achieved nearly 60 per cent progress as of September.
Of the 282 planned projects, programmes, and initiatives (PPI), 65 per cent, comprising 183 PPI, are still in progress, while 38 projects are in the pre-implementation phase and are expected to be completed next year.
Presently, 30 PPI have been fully completed, 22 projects are set to be finished this year, and nine more PPI have not yet started but are expected to commence next year.
RS-1 was announced in July 2022 during the State Legislative Assembly to shape a sustainable and resilient economy to ensure the people's well-being and achieve Selangor's aspiration to contribute 30 per cent of Malaysia's gross domestic product by 2025.
