KUALA SELANGOR, Nov 18 — The state government is open to the proposal of constructing a sepak takraw stadium in Selangor, said Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari.
He said the suggestion has been handed to the Selangor Sepak Takraw Association (PSS) for detailed evaluation.
“If PSS has a plan, they can discuss it with the Selangor Sports Council. From the state government’s side, we have no issues and are open to the idea.

“The Selangor Pistons secured third place in the Johor Grand Prix, part of the Emas Anuar Malaysian Sepak Takraw League, further solidifying the state’s standing in this sport,” Amirudin said.
Amirudin was speaking to the press after officiating the closing ceremony of the International Silat Combat Championship at Universiti Teknologi MARA's Puncak Alam campus yesterday.
Previously, Malaysian Sepak Takraw Association president Datuk Sumali Reduan suggested building a dedicated sepak takraw stadium, particularly in the Klang Valley.
The proposed stadium will be able to facilitate hosting tournaments and serve as a training and academy hub for the sport.
