SHAH ALAM, Nov 14 — State executive councillor for tourism and local government Dato’ Ng Suee Lim is optimistic the upcoming state budget will have something in store for the Visit Selangor Year 2025.
He expressed confidence that a substantial allocation will be allocated for the state’s tourism industry to meet the campaign’s goals.
“That (state budget) is tomorrow at 3pm… We have to wait for the budget tabling by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
“There may be an (additional) allocation, as next year is Visit Selangor Year 2025,” he said in a press conference after a town hall with illegal factory operators as part of the Unauthorised Factory Legalisation Programme at the Shah Alam City Council Convention Centre here today.

The state aims to attract eight million tourists for the Visit Selangor Year 2025, comprising both domestic and international visitors.
From November 1 to 3, Tourism Selangor held the inaugural Selangor Travel Fair at Sunway Pyramid Shopping Centre, as part of the Visit Selangor Year 2025 promotional campaign.
The event also saw the pre-launch of the Visit Selangor Year 2025, as well as the introduction of the campaign’s logo and theme song.
Amirudin had previously said the state tourism sector will be allotted increased funding next year, compared with this year’s RM5.3 million.
