KLANG, Nov 12 — GM Klang is aiming to draw six million visitors to the premier wholesale centre in conjunction with Visit Selangor Year 2025.

GM Klang managing director Dato’ Lim Seng Kok said the firm will hold special campaigns, starting year-end, to empower the state’s tourism sector.

“Among these campaigns are a photo-sharing event on social media titled ‘Ke Mana Kita Lepas Borong?’

“This campaign was designed especially to encourage GM Klang visitors to promote Selangor’s other tourist spots,” he said during the launch for GM Klang’s special campaign for Visit Selangor Year 2025, held at the lobby of GM Klang Wholesale City here today.

Also present were state executive councillor for local government and tourism Dato’ Ng Suee Lim and Tourism Selangor promotions manager Khuzaimah Jamaluddin.

Lim added that GM Klang will offer monthly RM500 shopping incentives from next year to lucky visitors, as well as the Year End Sale on December 20.

He said GM Klang appeals to foreign tourists thanks to its location near Port Klang, which cements its position as the Klang Royal City’s tourism ambassador.

“Around 50 per cent of our visitors are from out of state and country. There are Singaporeans, Thais, and we also draw cruise ship tourists,” he said.
