AMPANG JAYA, Oct 20 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari officiated the Selangor Smart Village Centre (Pusat Smart Desa) today, developed at Balai Raya Kampung Sri Taman Baru.
The Selangor Town and Country Planning Department (PLANMalaysia) said the one-stop centre, which serves as an Internet hub, community centre, and tuition space, was built for RM250,000.
“Ampang in Hulu Langat is the third Smart Village Centre to be developed after Sungai Air Tawar in Sabak Bernam and Kampung Endah in Kuala Langat.
“This centre operates using a solar system and is equipped with furniture, bathrooms, and Internet access,” it said in a statement.
Selangor PLANMalaysia added that the Smart Village Centre was developed as part of the Selangor Rural Strategic Roadmap 2035 initiative, aimed at improving the quality of rural communities through more sustainable physical development.
“Selangor Smart Village is an upgrade project for rural community facilities to enhance the residents' well-being and comfort.
“It provides a conducive and high-quality environment in rural or village areas based on the local community's needs,” it said.
