KL water cut: Air Selangor offers relief supply, full recovery by 9am tomorrow

SHAH ALAM, Oct 8 — Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) is providing alternative water supply to areas in the capital affected by an unscheduled water cut due to a burst pipe in Pasar Seni.

The state water provider said this is to minimise the impact of the water disruption on consumers, with emergency repair works, which began at 6am, still underway.

The water supply recovery in affected areas has reached 66 per cent as of 3pm.

“The recovery time for the water supply varies depending on the distance of the users' premises and the water pressure in the distribution system.

“The water supply is expected to be fully restored by 9am tomorrow,” it said in an update on social media.

Air Selangor said areas still affected by the disruption are Brickfields, Bukit Bandaraya, Bukit Bangsar, Bukit Persekutuan, Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Taman Bandaraya, Taman Bangsar Baru, Taman Lucky, Taman SA (Bangsar), and Taman SA (Damansara).

Earlier today, Air Selangor said several areas in the city centre will face a water cut until tomorrow afternoon due to the burst pipe.

It initially said repairs were set to be complete by 1am, and that supply would be restored in stages after, with full recovery by 1pm tomorrow.

Among the areas earlier affected are KL Sentral, Parliament, Bukit Tunku, Damansara Heights, Kampung Attap, and Taman Duta.

Updates on the water cut can be found on Air Selangor’s official communication channels such as its mobile app, and Facebook, Instagram and X accounts.

Alternatively, consumers can contact Air Selangor at 15300 or visit its website.
