SEPANG, Sept 28 — The state government is developing two more Rumah Idaman projects, involving 1,360 apartment units, which are expected to be completed by 2027.

Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari said the Rumah Saujana Idaman project comprises 858 units alongside the Rumah Putra Idaman project (502 units), each equipped with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two parking spaces, with prices starting from RM250,000 per unit.

The RM125.5 million project is being developed by Oriental Interest Berhad (OIB) in collaboration with Permodalan Negeri Selangor Berhad (PNSB) via its subsidiary PNSB Construction Sdn Bhd.

"These two Rumah Idaman projects provide affordable homes in the Sepang, Dengkil, and Putrajaya areas, in addition to helping low (B40) and middle-income (M40) groups to own their first home.

"One of the key purchasing conditions is that household income must be RM10,000 or below," he told the press after launching the construction of the project at the Myra Cove Sales Gallery today.

At the same event, PNSB chief executive officer Raja Ahmad Shahrir Iskandar Raja Salim announced that through the construction of these two projects, OIB is handing over 39 units in exchange to the state government to implement the Smart Rental Scheme.

"It will be managed by the Selangor Housing and Property Board and involves 26 Putra Idaman units and 13 Saujana Idaman units," he said.

Meanwhile, OIB’s human resources and development head Akil Hassan Kalimullah said the project’s design is developed according to a modern lifestyle and offers attractive options for those seeking a safe residential environment.

"Putra Idaman and Saujana Idaman are located within gated and guarded communities. They are easily accessible via highways such as the North-South Expressway Central Link and the South Klang Valley Expressway," he said.

Previously, Amirudin said the state government aims to build approximately 41,000 Rumah Idaman units in stages until 2028 to help citizens own affordable and comfortable homes.
