Unisel Chancellor Raja Tan Sri Arshad Raja Tun Uda said the collaboration aims to empower the academic, research and marketing sectors.

“This includes cooperation with universities in Turkiye, China, Oman, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Thailand and East African countries like Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Somalia.

“Among collaborations inked previously (were on) staff and student exchanges, research, international seminars, and more,” he said during his speech at Unisel’s 18th Convocation at Dewan Chancellor, Bestari Jaya Campus, Kuala Selangor, here yesterday.

Arshad expressed gratitude for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari’s commitment to improving Unisel facilities.

“Although Unisel is a private higher learning institution, the commitment of the Prime Minister and menteri besar lets the university’s facilities be upgraded from time to time.

“This includes upgrading to more conducive teaching rooms, a comfortable cafe, and sports facilities like an international-standard synthetic football field,” he said.

Arshad also expressed congratulations to graduates, saying they must consistently pursue excellence in their future careers.

“Become a proactive younger generation and be ready to change your behaviour and mind(sets) to achieve better success in your next stage of life,” he said.

Earlier, 2,555 graduates were presented with their degrees, with 1,138 graduates receiving bachelor’s degrees, 965 receiving diplomas, 394 receiving foundation certificates, 31 receiving master’s degrees, and 27 receiving doctorates.
