KUALA LANGAT, Sept 16 — A free ambulance service started by Tanjung Sepat assemblyman Datuk Borhan Aman Shah has benefited over 3,000 people.
Borhan said the service, which has run since 2021, was started to help residents go to hospital for treatment.
“This service is for Tanjung Sepat residents, especially those who are less able to pay for private ambulances.
“Usually, we use (this ambulance) to ferry patients between the hospital and their homes in Tanjung Sepat, or for those who need follow-up treatments.

“The nearest hospital is Banting Hospital, about 30 minutes from here, and it would be expensive to use private ambulances,” he said when met during a beach cleanup in conjunction with the Malaysia Day Team Selangor motorcycle convoy at Pantai Batu Laut Square here yesterday.
Borhan said based on good reception for the service, his office will acquire one more ambulance, making a fleet of two.
“We also received calls from residents outside Tanjung Sepat requesting the service, but we had to decline them as they were beyond area lines,” he said.
Earlier, Borhan said Tanjung Sepat residents can call 03-3148 1029, 011-2351 3004, or 018-465 8184 for the free ambulance service.
