KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 13 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim extended heartfelt birthday wishes to Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr, who is celebrating his 67th birthday today.
In a Facebook post, he also expressed hope for further strengthening the partnership between the two countries in the years ahead.
“May this year bring you continued success and fulfilment in all your endeavours.
“As our nations celebrate 60 years of diplomatic relations, I look forward to further strengthening our partnership in the years ahead, grounded in mutual respect and collaboration,” Anwar said.
In the same post, the Prime Minister also shared a birthday wish video for Marcos, whom he described as a vibrant, cheerful, and trusted friend.
“Celebrate this birthday with your determination to rebuild the Philippines and champion your people.
“I certainly want to take this opportunity to show how a valued friend you are and how I cherish our friendship, trust and determination to enhance our relations and bilateral in every way possible,” he said.
