HULU SELANGOR, Sept 8 — The Rewang Komuniti programme organised by the state government, which has been held at various locations, will resume in November.

State executive councillor for housing and culture Borhan Aman Shah said Rewang Komuniti Strata, aimed at reviving the tradition of residents interacting and forming social bonds, will take place in the Hulu Langat district.

“The exact date has not been set, but we have scheduled it for November in Hulu Langat, specifically in the Dusun Tua (state) constituency.

"Since its inception last year, the programme has received an encouraging response, with over 3,000 residents participating at each location.

“Alhamdulillah, we have seen how excited the residents are each time the programme is organised. It helps strengthen the relationship between leaders and the people,” he said.

Borhan was speaking to the press after attending a prayer ceremony for the Batang Kali state constituency coordinator’s office in Section BB5, Bukit Beruntung yesterday.

The state government has revived this tradition at several locations, particularly in People's Housing Projects.

The programme started with Rewang Komuniti Strata on February 24 and February 25 at Padang Awam Pandan Jaya in Ampang Jaya, officiated by Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari.

This was followed by Rewang Sahur at Asrama Yayasan Selangor in Klang (March 23), Rewang Komuniti Strata at Ukay Perdana in Ampang Jaya (May 5), and PPR Kampung Baru Hicom in Shah Alam (June 8).
