KLANG, Aug 28 – Gagasan Rumpun Selangor, launched to celebrate diversity and foster unity, kicked off in Klang today.
Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah officiated the three-day event by boarding the Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd train from Shah Alam to Klang.
Tengku Amir Shah then dined at Chong Kok Kopitiam before riding an e-scooter to historic sites and attractions around the city.
During his visit to Kedai Pandan Layer Cake, which is 47 years old, His Highness observed the decorating of a cake made especially for him.

Accompanied by state executive councillor for rural development and unity Datuk Rizam Ismail, Tengku Amir Shah boarded a Hop-On Hop-Off tourist bus for a 3km trip to the Klang Land and District Office for a briefing with government agencies.
This afternoon, His Highness is set to visit several notable sites, including a deer farm and a rock melon farm, in Kampung Perepat, Kapar.
In the evening, Tengku Amir Shah will attend a casual event with youth at Kota Lama Bridge and Kota Raja Mahadi.
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari announced that under this year’s budget, the tour would span nine districts with an allocation of RM4.5 million.
To date, the programme has been held in Hulu Selangor, Hulu Langat, Sepang, Petaling, Kuala Selangor, and Kuala Langat. Next, it will move to Gombak, with the closing event in Sabak Bernam.
