SHAH ALAM, Aug 21 — Raja Muda Selangor Tengku Amir Shah has been reappointed as Universiti Putra Malaysia's (UPM) Pro-Chancellor by the Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj.
The Selangor Royal Office said the appointment was made in His Royal Highness' capacity as UPM Chancellor in the Throne Room of Istana Bukit Kayangan in Shah Alam yesterday.
"Prof Emeritus Datuk Muhamad Zohadie Bardaie was also reappointed as Pro-Chancellor by His Royal Highness," it said in a Facebook post yesterday.

During the same ceremony, Sultan Sharafuddin also consented to the appointment of former energy, green technology, and water minister Tan Sri Peter Chin Fah Kui as UPM's new Pro-Chancellor.
"This appointment is for a period of three years, effective from October 18, 2024, to October 17, 2027," said the Selangor Royal Office.
Also attending the ceremony were Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Zambry Abd Kadir, the ministry's director-general Prof Azlinda Azman, and UPM's Vice-Chancellor Datuk Prof Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah.
