KUCHING, Aug 20 — After her stellar performance in the 100m sprint yesterday, Nur Afrina Batrisyia Mohd Rizal fulfilled her promise to score gold in the 200m event today at the 2024 Malaysian Games (Sukma) at Stadium Sarawak today.
Clocking 23.89s meant Nur Afrina also broke the Sukma record set by Perak’s Noor Eewan Syafiqah Mohd Sabri of 24.31s at the same venue in 2016.
Silver in the women’s 200m sprint today went to Terengganu’s Izzatul Musfirah Ahmad Kamal Azira (24.52s), while host Ormilla Octavia Codday Nyadau (24.94s) earned bronze.
