Sri Petaling LRT service back to normal after ‘small fire’

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 4 — Work to repair a technical fault along the line near the PWTC Light Rail Transit (LRT) station, reported this morning, has been completed.

Rapid Rail posted a statement on Facebook that travel schedules have been adjusted and trains will operate normally.

“Alternative train and shuttle bus services have ceased. We apologise for the inconvenience. Thank you for your patience,” the company said in a statement today.

Rapid Rail had previously announced service delays along the Ampang-Sri Petaling LRT line due to a technical fault at 9.58am today. Investigations revealed it was due to a small fire affecting a component on the line.
