State executive councillor for public health and the environment Jamaliah Jamaluddin said that the implementation mechanism would be slightly different compared to before, which only focused on civil servants.
“This time, we will focus more on organising the SLIM Selangor in apartment or flat areas around the state, with activities primarily involving Zumba and aerobics as a pilot project. We expect it to be implemented within a month or two.
“The target is more towards residents in those areas to encourage healthy lifestyle practices and simultaneously educate them to achieve and maintain an ideal body weight,” she said.
Jamaliah was speaking to the press after officiating the 3S Santai, Sihat, Sejahtera Carnival at Pengkalan Sabak in Pekan Sabak yesterday.
First introduced in April 2019, SLIM Selangor at that time focused on civil servants adopting a healthy lifestyle to achieve an ideal body weight.
