Among those present to welcome the team were Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Adam Adli, state executive councillor for youth, sports and entrepreneurship Mohd Najwan Halimi, and Selangor Sports Council executive director Mohamad Nizam Marjugi.
Najwan said the state government will consider providing incentives to SRG players for their remarkable achievement.
“The provision of incentives will be discussed by the state executive council according to suitability and needs.
“Rewards received by players for their victory are significant, but the state government will continue to support the development of the e-sports ecosystem via Selangor’s subsidiaries,” he said
On Sunday, SRG ended Malaysia’s seven-year drought in the international e-sports stage by defeating the Philippines’ Falcons AP Bren Sport 4-3 in the grand final of the MLBB 2024 at the Amazon Arena in Riyadh.
