SHAH ALAM, July 5 — The Section 16 portion of Persiaran Selangor here will be partially closed to facilitate works for the Light Rail Transit Line 3 (LRT3) project from July 8 to 31.
Project contractor Setia Utama LRT 3 Sdn Bhd said the 24-hour closure and traffic diversion will affect the two west-bound lanes from after Tamura Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd to the BHP petrol station and Bulatan Kemajuan.
The Shah Alam City Council has approved the road closure.
“During the closure, motorists on Persiaran Selangor heading towards Bulatan Perusahaan will be diverted to the opposite side of the road via a contraflow lane.
“One lane will be made available for motorists on Persiaran Selangor heading towards Bulatan Kemajuan,” it said in a statement today.
The contractor apologised for inconveniences caused.
Those with enquiries pertaining to the works can contact the LRT3 helpline at 1800-18-2585 from Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm.
Setia Utama LRT 3, formerly known as MRCB George Kent Sdn Bhd, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Malaysian Resources Corporation Bhd and the main contractor for the LRT3 project.
The rail project will connect two million people between Bandar Utama and Klang, and was developed in line with the Greater Kuala Lumpur/Klang Valley Land Public Transport Master Plan.
