MPAJ, Gombak health office realise anti-Aedes campaign

SHAH ALAM, June 30 — The Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) and the Gombak District Health Office conducted an anti-Aedes mosquito campaign at Pangsapuri Sri Puteri in Ukay Perdana today.

The Gotong-Royong Fight Against Aedes Mosquitoes programme, organised by the residents’ association in collaboration with the joint management body committee and the apartment’s surau, began with a briefing on the dengue outbreak.

The programme continued with a gotong-royong to clean the residential area, complemented by colouring competitions, dengue checkers, and larva-searching activities for children.

MPAJ’s Health and Environment Department also provided Roll-on Roll-off bins to facilitate residents' disposal of items that could potentially become mosquito breeding grounds.

The council distributed larvicide and purchased recyclable items like used cooking oil, electronic waste, paper, cardboard, plastic items, and glass bottles.
