PETALING JAYA, June 22 — Raja Muda Selangor Tengku Amir Shah today graced the closing ceremony of the PKNS Selangor Masters 2024 at the Seri Selangor Golf Club here.
Tengku Amir Shah also handed prizes to championship winner, Rahil Gangjee from India, who took home US$30,625 (RM144,335.62) and a trophy.
National men’s amateur golfer Marcus Lim also received a prize from the Raja Muda, and was named PKNS Selangor Masters 2024 best Malaysian player. Marcus, who was Piala Supra 2023 Toyota Tour champion, took home RM10,000.
National professional youth golfer Muhammad Danial Faidz was named best amateur.

Earlier, Tengku Amir Shah received a mock cheque of RM300,000 on behalf of Yayasan Raja Muda Selangor from Sime Darby Property. The cheque was handed over by Sime Darby Property director Dato’ Azmir Merican.
The tournament, which kicked off on Wednesday, was joined by 144 participants.
Previously, on June 12-15, the Junior International Selangor Golf Championship 2024 was held, which saw 123 golfers fighting for the title.
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari earlier said the event was a platform to encourage new talent in the sport.
He said the two championships are in line with Selangor’s commitment to develop the sport of golf, and serve as platforms for professional players, especially Malaysians, to boost their career in the sport.
